Itinerary
Upon your arrival a driver will be waiting for you, to take you to your hotel in El Salvador.
San Salvador is the capital city of El Salvador with architecture in the historical center that nowhere else can be found in Latin America. The Museo de Arte de El Salvador is an important museum with an impressive international collection. You can go souvenir shopping in Ex-Cuartel, a large arts, and crafts bazaar in downtown San Salvador and have dinner in one of many restaurants San Salvador has to offer.
Volcanoes, colonial towns, food and people. Explore the full Flowers Route in the west of the country in one day. Together with a professional guide, go to five colorful provincial towns (Juayua, Ataco, Apaneca, Nahuizalco and Salcoatitan) see its churches, markets, coffee plantations, waterfalls, and other must-seen. Additionally, going with a local guide means you are able to achieve insight into each town along the route.
A romantic day starts in Ilopango lake with a boat ride, then La Ruta de Las Flores. Visit colonial towns such as Apaneca or Juayua, the waterfall of Los Chorros de la Calera, and the town of Ataco – a winding route of about 20 miles through coffee plantations and brightly colored colonial towns and colonial architecture.
Chill at this hidden gem of El Salvador, these hot springs offer you the unique opportunity to appreciate the largest Ausol in Central America, the magic pool, the trail of the lagoons, the romantic pool, and the blue lagoon – the geyser trail or horseback riding at Portezuelo park.
Also known as Volcano Ilamatepec, this is the main attraction of the National Park and also its most menacing, scaling the 2391 meters peak. A one and a half hour trail climbing up from the breathtaking San Blas Plateau and providing astonishing views of the neighboring Coatepeque caldera and Izalco Volcano. Equally imposing is the mystical terrain found at the top of the volcano and travelers can hike around the rim of the crater, looking over the four nested calderas and an emerald green crater lake.
Explore the National Park between three active volcanoes, enjoy excellent views of Lake of Coatepeque and visit the Mayan towns of San Andres and Joya de Ceren, known as Pompeii of the Americas.
One of the attractive aspects of El Salvador is that because it is a small country, you are never far away from the beach. The water has the perfect temperature as its average is over 80 degrees. The sandy beach of the Costa del Sol area is the largest in El Salvador with wonderful sunrises and sunsets. It is one of the most visited areas during vacations. Located only 25 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes from San Salvador, Costa del Sol is a perfect getaway.
The Costa del Sol area is divided into three beaches. There is a lot to do on this dazzling beach. You can take a boat trip in the mangroves, go on a fishing expedition, rent a jetski or simply soak up the sun. The beaches are excellent for beach sports such as jogging, football, and volleyball.
Costa del Sol also offers great opportunities for horseback riding on the beach while watching the beautiful sunset or sunrise. The water is perfect for swimming as the water is calmer than at the beaches in the west. At Costa del Sol you will find restaurants with delicious fresh seafood, oceanfront villas, and many stores to go shopping.
Today marks the end of your honeymoon in El Salvador. A driver will take you to the international airport for your flight back home. If you would like to extend your stay, please do not hesitate to contact us to customize your honeymoon.
