Itinerary
After arriving at the international airport of San Jose you will meet the driver, and go to your hotel in downtown San Jose. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes.
Today, after enjoying breakfast you will go on a thrilling rafting tour. Together with a guide, you will go on an unforgettable river adventure with the classification of II and IV rapid. You will take a break for a healthy lunch and afterward, you will paddle through even more rapids and enjoy the scenery. After the rafting trip, you can change into some dry clothes and drive back to San Jose which is approximately 90 minutes.
After breakfast, you will go on a challenging canopy tour above the forest for a unique perspective. During the drive from the Operation Center to the place, you will go to the canopy and you will learn more about the plantation. Once on top of the hill, you will receive the safety instructions and how all the equipment works. Afterward, you will have lunch and go back to the hotel.
Today, you’ll go to Monteverde where you’ll have a canopy tour. Canopy across a cloud forest of Costa Rica on this zip line. Tour across zip lines, rappel down to the cloud forest floor, and more on this adventure excursion. Additionally, try out the Tarzan-style swing over the canopy jungle. It is a family-friendly trip with guides assisting you along the way to make sure you have a safe experience.
Active travelers will appreciate this audacious excursion through the cloud forest. Begin your excursion with a zip line trip over the canopy, giving a breathtaking sight of the cloud forest below. Later, rappel 150 feet down to the forest ground. A ladder structure through the hollow core of an old tree takes you back up into the top of the trees, and an optional Tarzan swing free-fall tour brings you back down. Experienced guides go along with you through every step of the circuit to ensure your safety, and enjoyment, as well as to answer questions about the ecosystem of the area.
At the hotel, you will be greeted by your guide, and go on a bus ride to the pacific port of Puntarenas. En route, you will stop and have a typical Costa Rican breakfast. Upon the arrival of Puntarenas, you will go on a Catamaran to Turtle Island which is known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. At Turtle Island, you will also enjoy a delicious lunch and go on a fun banana boat ride.
Today, you’ll return to San Jose, where you’ll have free time to self-explore the city.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a private transfer to the International Airport of San Jose.
