What to expect
A driver will be pick up from your hotel on the island or from your cruise ship or port. Option 1. Carambola Botanical Gardens and trails
A rich jungle full of rare orchids, running creeks, wild fruit, birds of paradise and more meet you at every step in this unique paradise and ecosystem. The Carambola Botanical Gardens and Trails will give you a totally different perspective on lovely Roatan.

Option 2. West bay of Roatan Island
This beachfront park is a family-friendly attraction that offers not only the water activities and leisure of the beach and ocean, but also the opportunity to mingle with diverse animals. There are animals such as hummingbirds, macaws, parrots and Capuchin white-face monkeys. Wander in your Roatan day tour through a dense tropical jungle with nature trails, a suspension bridge, colorful flowers and butterflies, numerous waterfalls and more than 200 vibrant plant and tree species.

Option 3. The beach of Tabyana, West bay.

Snorkel, swim, lie in the sun, rent kayaks, banana boats and play volleyball. Taste the flavorful local dishes and drinks and join the locals in their fun-filled, yet relaxed, parties.

Option 4. Butterfly gardens.
A serene escape full of wildlife: parrots, lush tropical plants and boa constrictors. With your guide’s assistance, you will be able to identify 30 or so rare butterfly species and tropical plants. Option 5. Money and Sloth Hang out, French Cay
It is an animal sanctuary run by a small family nestled in the small community of French Cay. Have an amazing time, while gazing at sloths, monkeys, tropical birds and other species. Of course, the biggest attraction here is the sloths, gentle and slow climbing creatures that amaze us all.

Option 6. Mahogany Bay
There is plenty to do on this little island located in Dixon Cove, a pristine pocket of protected water on the southern shore of Roatan island. Relax at the cruise port, go on excursions or go exploring on your own. The 20-acre colorful cruise port will give you an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. Mahogany Bay Welcome Center includes eateries and shopping venues for tourists.

Option 7. Iguana Farm and Marine Reserve
Get up close and personal with one of Roatan’s most exotic lizards, the Green Iguana. This park is an incredible animal sanctuary that cares for island fauna, iguanas, monkeys, turtles and even fish. Living on over 12 acres of beautiful tropical forest are over 4,000 iguanas which roam freely in a protected heaven. Some of them grow up to four feet long. The best hour to visit the Iguana Farm & Marine Park is 10 to 11 am because this is feeding time and the best time to handle the iguanas. Visitors have the opportunity to pet and feed these friendly reptiles. Travelers may also wander through the docks, see the other habitats of Arch’s Reserve and see the other animals that have been rescued or donated to the Reserve, such as monkeys, exotic birds and tarpon fish.
